On the site of a double garage, we constructed this timber work shop/storage in three quarters of the space and the remaining quarter we studded and constructed a fully plastered and insulated home office. Finished with laminate floor, paint, spots lights, sockets and internet points. Entering into the separate office through one set of the french doors. To the rear of the building is the electric roller shutter garage door, which allows access for larger items.
The front of the building was finished in vertically clad Western Red Cedar, the Cedar then returned for approx. 600mm along the side elevations, where we then installed horizontal ‘Fortex’ anthracite plastic cladding. This is a great system where the corner and stop trims come in two parts, the first part is fitted prior to the cladding, the cladding is the ran over / up to the first part of the trim and once finished, the second part, the cover trim is then clicked into place over the top to give a perfect seamless looking finish. We really like the contrasting colours of the Cedar and Fortex but also the opposing directions of the cladding. Great use of space and looks amazing too!!
